Job summary

Wesley College Melbourne is seeking an Out of School Hours Assistant for Elsternwick campus. This permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–6:00pm, supporting after-school care for ECLC to Year 4 and starting in 2027 if preferred. The College prioritises safety, inclusivity and child wellbeing.

Essential qualifications include a Diploma/Certificate III in Early Childhood, WWC check and VIC registration. Apply early as interviews may begin before closing date.

Qualifications

• Essential Certificate III in Early Childhood or equivalent.
• Current Working with Children Check required.
• Desirable: experience in a similar after-school role.
• Desirable: current VIC teaching registration or early childhood diploma.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children after school.
• Support snack time, indoor/outdoor play and attendance/dismissal records.
• Set up and pack away spaces; deliver activities and experiences.
• Provide day-to-day care and wellbeing support as needed.
