Job summary

Wesley College Melbourne, Elsternwick campus, is seeking an enthusiastic Out of School Hours Assistant to join our afternoon care program (ECLC to Year 4). This permanent part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, with an immediate start or a start in 2027.

You will help create a safe, engaging environment for children and support snack time, attendance, and activities. The successful candidate will have an Early Childhood Certificate III (or higher), a current Working with

Qualifications

• Minimum Early Childhood Certificate III
• Current Working with Children Check
• Experience in a similar role
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration or an Early Childhood Diploma

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where children feel welcome and looked after
• Keep the afternoon running smoothly by supporting snack time, indoor and outdoor play, and ensuring accurate attendance and dismissal records
• Set up and pack away program spaces so they are clean, organised and inviting
• Help deliver activities and experiences that spark children's interests and support their development and wellbeing
• Provide caring day-to-day support, including help at meal and snack times, personal care and general wellbeing needs
