Job summary

Lactalis Australia is seeking an experienced Afternoon Shift DC Coordinator to join our Lidcombe Distribution Centre. Reporting to the DC Manager, this frontline leadership role coordinates the safe, efficient and accurate operation of the afternoon shift.

You will lead a team of approximately 10 to 20 employees, ensuring orders are picked and dispatched on time, trucks loaded to schedule, and stock controlled with a strong focus on safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in logistics, distribution or warehousing.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing employees.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage the afternoon shift to meet safety, service, quality and productivity objectives.
• Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities: order picking, staging, loading and dispatch.
• Ensure trucks are loaded accurately, safely and on schedule.
• Manage labour and resources to meet changing requirements.
• Monitor stock movements and support inventory controls.
• Support training and coaching of team members.
• Promote safety culture and ensure WHS compliance.
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with transport, customer service and other teams to deliver outcomes.
