Job summary

BlueScope Building Components in Adelaide is seeking a hands-on Production Team Leader to coordinate the afternoon shift and lead a small operations team. You will work closely with the Operations Supervisor to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality production outcomes.

This permanent role runs Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm; prior manufacturing leadership is preferred, but we welcome strong operators ready to progress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workloads and activities across a small operations team.
• Work alongside the team and support daily production activities.
• Provide clear direction and practical support throughout the shift.
• Champion safe work practices and address safety concerns promptly.
• Monitor quality, productivity and operational performance.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and ways of working.
• Provide day-to-day leadership when the Operations Supervisor is unavailable.
