Village Roadshow Theme Parks is seeking an Afterhours Security Officer at Sea World, Gold Coast. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment across our world-famous properties, patrolling, monitoring CCTV, and managing access for guests and staff.

Join a dynamic team in the entertainment industry with opportunities for overtime and night shift penalties. A Blue Card and RSA are required, with training support for advanced resuscitation techniques.

Qualifications

• Current Unarmed Security License with Provide First Aid, Monitoring and Crowd Control modules.
• Blue Card is essential (cost of Blue Card noted).
• RSA certificate required.
• Unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Patrol properties to ensure guest, team member and asset safety, including gatehouse patrols.
• Manage access control for visitors and contractors; operate gatehouse; issue keys; perform vehicle checks.
• Monitor CCTV from Gatehouse and throughout the property.
• Respond to incidents and assist Park Supervisors and Managers as required.
• Ensure safety of guests and staff and provide conflict resolution.
• When rostered at the Resort, perform lock-up patrols and respond to incidents.
• Monitor animal life support systems after hours and escalate as needed.
• Handle emergency procedures and act as the link to the Emergency Response Team.

As an Afterhours Security Officer at Sea World, you’ll help create a safe and welcoming environment across our world-famous properties. You’ll be part of a team that ensures the safety and wellbeing of our guests, team members, and attractions, all while being surrounded by the energy and fun of the entertainment industry.

Key Responsibilities

Every shift brings a new adventure behind the scenes! You’ll be:

• Stay Alert - Patrol our properties to ensure the safety of guests, team members and assets, including theme park lock-up patrols.
• Keep things moving - Manage access control for visitors and contractors, including gatehouse operations, issuing of keys to correct persons and vehicle checks.
• Eyes on security - Monitor CCTV from the Gatehouse and stay alert to activity across the property.
• Take charge - Respond to incidents and provide assistance to Park Supervisors and Managers as required.
• Keep everyone safe and happy - Ensure the safety of team members and guests and provide conflict resolution.
• Keep the Resort secure - When rostered at the Resort, carry out lock-up patrols, ensure guest safety and respond to incidents as required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who’s professional, calm under pressure, and passionate about safety. You’ll bring:

• A current Unarmed Security License (including Provide First Aid, Monitoring and Crowd Control modules)
• Blue Card is essential* (Please be advised that the cost of a Blue Card is currently $108.30)
• RSA certificate (essential)
• A current unrestricted Driver’s License
• Intermediate computer skills required
• Availability to work any day including nights, weekends and school holidays
• A willingness to obtain Provide Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (we’ll assist with booking and will cover the cost!)
