Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality across the supplier base, with a focus on structural casting suppliers. You will lead qualifications, audits, supplier scorecards and root-cause corrective actions, while partnering with design and manufacturing teams to improve producibility.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in quality systems or supplier quality, with strong leadership and data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
• Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers
• Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility
• Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure
• Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
• Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
