Job summary

Rocketdyne seeks two experienced Dimensional Inspectors to support inspection of aerospace components with very small features and tight tolerances. You will interpret detailed drawings and use precision measurement tools to verify conformance to prints and specs.

Responsibilities include operating CMMs and vision systems, documenting results, and collaborating with machinists, engineering, and quality teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with GD&T and dimensional analysis is required.
• Hands-on machining experience transitioning to inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of aerospace components to verify conformance to drawings and specs.
• Inspect small, complex, tight-tolerance parts using manual and automated measurement equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Use precision tools including calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, comparators and related equipment.
• Operate and/or program CMMs and vision systems to support dimensional verification.
• Develop and apply manual inspection methods for hard-to-measure features.
• Document inspection results, nonconformances, and supporting data clearly.
• Collaborate with machinists, manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to ensure prints are met.
• Support root cause investigations related to dimensional discrepancies or quality concerns.
