Job summary

Levett Engineering is seeking a CMM Inspector for precision manufacturing in the aerospace/defence sector. You will ensure components meet dimensional and quality specifications using CMMs and precision tools, while supporting continuous process improvements.

The role requires an Engineering Degree or Diploma or demonstrable relevant experience, and compliance with safety and security checks. A team-focused, communicative approach will help maintain ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards.

Qualifications

Engineering Degree or Diploma or demonstrable relevant work experience required.
Experience with CMM inspection and GD&T preferred.
Compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems and ITAR/EAR awareness would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS/VDMIS or similar.
Perform dimensional inspections on complex components per drawings and GD&T.
Verify conformance with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and surface plates.
Document inspection results and maintain traceable quality records per ISO 9001/AS9100.
Analyse CMM data to identify trends and non-conformances; prepare reports and control charts.
Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to address deviations.
Prepare inspection reports and present data to stakeholders.
