Job summary

RFDS is seeking an experienced pilot to conduct aeromedical evacuations and routine transfers across remote Northern Territory and South Australia. You will deliver charter flights for health teams and equipment, operating a Pilatus PC-12 under single-pilot IFR in challenging outback conditions.

Ideal candidates have 2,000+ total hours, 1,500+ PIC, 100+ night hours, and recent IFR experience. Join a multidisciplinary crew with RFDS values and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• CASA CPL (A) with a current IPC (three renewals).
• Total time 2,000+ hours with 1,500+ PIC hours.
• Night flying experience 100+ hours.
• Recent single-pilot IFR experience (past 24 months).
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Reliability, responsiveness, organisation and sound decisions under pressure.
• Alignment with RFDS values: care, integrity, collaboration, innovation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe, efficient aeromedical evacuations and patient transfers.
• Deliver charter flights to regional and remote communities.
• Operate Pilatus PC-12 under single-pilot IFR in outback conditions.
• Collaborate with health professionals to provide emergency and primary care.
• Report to Deputy Head of Flight Operations and uphold RFDS standards.
