Evolution Mining invites a collaborative Health & Safety professional to join our Mungari Operations in Western Australia. The role focuses on partnering with underground, open pit and processing teams to improve safety outcomes and mature our health and safety systems.

The position is available on an 8:6 roster with FIFO from Perth or residential in Kalgoorlie, with relocation support within Australia. You’ll bring tertiary Health & Safety qualifications and at least 3 years’ mining experience,

Qualifications

• Ter tiary qualifications in Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mining operations.
• ICAM investigations qualifications and experience.
• Experience facilitating risk assessments and risk management processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Support underground, open pit and processing teams to manage risk and maintain safe workplaces.
• Coach leaders and employees in applying safety and risk management processes.
• Facilitate risk assessments and help teams identify, understand and control critical risks.
• Support incident investigations and embed learnings.
• Maintain and improve health and safety systems, procedures and documentation.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse mining environment while partnering with leaders and frontline teams to improve safety outcomes and support the ongoing maturity of our health and safety systems.

Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you'll:

• Support underground, open pit and processing teams to manage risk effectively and maintain safe, healthy workplaces.
• Coach and guide leaders and employees in the practical application of safety, health and risk management processes.
• Facilitate risk assessments and help teams identify, understand and control critical operational risks.
• Support incident investigations and ensure learnings are captured and embedded across the operation.
• Maintain and improve health and safety systems, procedures and documentation that support operational compliance and continuous improvement.

This position operates on an 8:6 roster (12-hour days) and is available as either FIFO from Perth or residential in Kalgoorlie, with relocation support available within Australia.

We're looking for a collaborative health and safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, influencing positive behaviours and helping create safer workplaces.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience within mining operations across open pit, processing, exploration and construction environments.
• ICAM investigation qualifications and practical investigation experience.
• Experience facilitating risk assessments and supporting risk management processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience developing and reviewing procedures, management plans, work method statements and related safety documentation.
• A proactive approach to coaching, influencing and building positive safety cultures.
• Auditing qualifications will be highly regarded.
• Underground mining operational experience will be highly regarded.
• Experience using INX and Pronto systems will be highly regarded.
