Job summary

Infrastructure NSW is recruiting an experienced Advisor, Committees to support governance and secretariat functions for INSW Board and Audit & Risk Committee in Sydney. You will manage end-to-end meeting processes, prepare documentation, and drive governance frameworks in a strategic, cross-functional role.

The role emphasizes building strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with public sector standards, and delivering timely governance reporting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end secretariat support to Audit and Risk Committee and INSW Board, incl. meeting coord, agendas, minutes and actions tracking.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and governance documents ensuring compliance with frameworks and standards.
  • Maintain governance systems and records, including document management and audit readiness activities.
  • Deliver admin, coordination and stakeholder support across Committees function and broader division.
  • Support policy/procedure reviews, coordinate consultations, maintain governance registers, monitor compliance and escalation risks.

This role is a Clerk Grade 0708, with a base salary for this role starting at $116,981 - $129,492 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Advisor, Committees to support the effective governance and operation of key INSW committees, including the Infrastructure NSW Board and Audit and Risk Committee. This role provides end-to-end secretariat and coordination support, contributes to the development and implementation of governance frameworks, and supports policy, compliance and governance initiatives that enhance organisational accountability, transparency and effective decision-making.

  • Provide end-to-end secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Committee and INSW Board, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes, and tracking actions to ensure effective governance outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, briefing materials and governance documentation to support informed decision-making, while ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, reporting obligations and public sector standards.
  • Maintain governance systems and records, including Diligent administration, document management, audit readiness activities, and secure record keeping.
  • Deliver administrative, coordination and stakeholder support services across the Committees function and broader division, ensuring responsive and efficient operations.
  • Support the review and update of policies and procedures, coordinate consultation processes, maintain governance registers, monitor compliance, and escalation risks or non-compliance issues as required.
About You

You will bring proven experience in governance and secretariat support, including coordinating Board and committee processes, preparing meeting documentation, and maintaining governance records.

You have strong skills in providing building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Diligent, together with knowledge of public sector governance frameworks and reporting obligations, will enable you to effectively support governance outcomes across the organisation.
