These are gastroenterology advanced training positions for current trainees who are interested in applying for a specialty year focusing on hepatology. Trainees applying for these positions should have completed at least two years of gastroenterology advanced training prior to 2026.
This position may also be suitable for current gastroenterology trainees.
The JMO Advanced Trainee is responsible for inpatient care, endoscopy lists, ambulatory care clinics, quality and safety meetings, weekly journal club and weekly clinical, radiology and pathology meetings. During training in gastroenterology and hepatology, the Advanced Trainee will have various responsibilities including managing general gastroenterology and hepatology inpatients, consultations and assessing all new referrals within 24 hours or less if required.
