Southern NSW Local Health District at Mona Vale Hospital is seeking a temporary full-time doctor to work with the Beaches Rapid Access Care of the Elderly (BRACE) team. The BRACE service provides rapid assessment and treatment for older people, including home visits and hospital care, led by geriatricians and allied health staff.
The hospital offers a 24/7 Urgent Care Centre and subacute services with ARU, BRU, palliative care, and geriatric assessment.

The successful applicant will work in Beaches Rapid Access Care of the Elderly (BRACE) at Mona Vale Hospital.
BRACE is an aged care outreach service based at Mona Vale Hospital providing rapid assessment and treatment for older people in
their own homes who are experiencing a new medical, functional, or cognitive decline and at risk of hospitalisation
BRACE is an expert team consisting of Geriatricians, Aged Care Registrars, Specialist Nurses, and Allied Health.
Mona Vale Hospital is a subacute facility providing the following services:
24 bed Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) for Geriatric Rehabilitation
26 bed Beachside Rehabilitation Unit (BRU) for General Rehabilitation, Stroke and Amputees
20 bed Palliative Care and Geriatric Assessment and Management Unit
24/7 Urgent Care Centre, treating patients with minor injury and illnesses
Community Health Centre
The hospital is located in a beautiful beachside setting, is accessible via Public Transport or alternately offers free parking for those using their own transport and is close to shopping centres and other community / social facilities.
To provide effective clinical management of patients, under appropriate supervision, including patient assessment, making treatment decisions, performing procedures and maintaining adequate medical records; and to develop expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. This includes supervised general medical management of patients admitted to specialist departments.
