Job summary

Zinfra PTY Ltd. in Brisbane, Heathwood depot, is seeking an Advanced Plant Operator to join our civil construction crews. You will perform hands-on excavation, backfilling, cable installation including underground fibre optics, recoveries and reinstatement on diverse projects.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on fast-paced but safety‑driven sites. Standard hours are 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities to grow your skills in earthworks and site control.

Qualifications

Experience operating excavators with trenching techniques and avoiding underground services.
Ability to read and interpret plans and implement environmental controls.
Current HR Driver’s Licence and machinery tickets are preferred.
First Aid, Dogging and Confined Space tickets are desirable.

Responsibilities

Excavate trenches according to specifications and install pipe as per plans.
Shovel materials like asphalt and dirt to and from construction site.
Load and unload construction materials and supplies from trucks.
Keep the work site organised, safe, and running smoothly, including machinery and work sites.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools and assist with underground service spotting.
Read and interpret plans and take direction from the Crew Leader.
