Job summary

SMYL Community College in Perth, Western Australia is seeking an experienced School Counsellor to join our Student Support Services Team. You will provide counselling, therapeutic intervention and wellbeing support to students across the College.

Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with staff, families and external agencies to support students facing complex social, emotional and educational challenges, guided by trauma-informed, relationship-based practice.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting adolescents and young people.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary support environments.
