Townsville City Council is seeking an Administration Officer to support the Infrastructure and Operations Division. You will provide administrative, financial, and customer service support across a range of services, coordinating requests, maintaining records, and assisting with procurement and reporting.
This role requires a Certificate IV in Business (or equivalent) and strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 36.25 hours/week)
Salary Range: $78,412 - $84,646 per annum + super
Location: Townsville

As an Administration Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the Infrastructure and Operations Division by providing high-quality administrative, financial, and customer service support across a diverse range of services that help keep Townsville running. Working collaboratively with internal teams, leadership, and stakeholders, you will coordinate service requests, maintain accurate records, prepare correspondence and reports, support procurement activities, and ensure efficient administrative processes. This is a varied role that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while contributing to Council's vision of Growing Townsville.
