Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking a friendly Medical Administrator to join our Front Office team on a full-time basis. As the first point of contact for patients, you will create a welcoming experience from the moment they connect with us and support the administration team across a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Previous medical reception or administration experience.
• Experience within the healthcare industry.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same in this dynamic role. You'll be involved in a variety of administrative and patient-facing responsibilities, including:

• Welcoming patients and delivering exceptional customer service
  
• Managing admissions and facilitating a smooth patient journey
  
• Conducting financial and health fund checks
  
• Preparing and maintaining accurate medical records
  
• Processing patient payments and administrative documentation
  
• Communicating with patients to finalise pre-admission requirements
  
• Coordinating with doctors' rooms and hospital departments
  
• Answering and directing phone enquiries professionally and efficiently
  
• Supporting the broader administration team with data entry and general clerical tasks

Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early and late starts
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Experience with patient management systems is highly regarded but not essential.
