Lady and the Hair in Melton is seeking an organised Administration Assistant for a maternity leave contract. This part-time role supports the salon team with general administration, data entry and front desk tasks while assisting the Director with day-to-day tasks.
You will help keep the business organised behind the scenes, manage emails, ordering, and reporting, and contribute to a smooth running of operations and customer service during a busy period.

We’re looking for an Administration Assistant to join our growing team to cover a maternity leave position.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll support our salon team with general administration, assist the Director with day-to-day tasks and help keep our business organised behind the scenes.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety. While administration will be your main focus, you’ll also support our front desk, assist our salon team and help ensure the day-to-day operations of the business run smoothly. You’ll be someone who enjoys jumping in wherever you’re needed and takes pride in getting things done.

Is highly organised and enjoys keeping things in order.
Has excellent communication skills.
Is confident using computers and enjoys learning new software.
Is comfortable working across multiple software platforms.
Is open to learning and using AI tools such as ChatGPT to improve efficiency and complete tasks.
Loves following systems, checklists and processes.
Notices when something needs doing without being asked.
Has strong attention to detail, especially when working with numbers and reports.
Can manage multiple tasks at once and prioritise their workload.
Uses initiative and enjoys solving problems.
Is reliable, trustworthy and professional.
Understands the importance of confidentiality when working with staff and business information.
Has a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys being part of a team.
Previous experience in administration, reception, customer service, retail or hospitality would be highly regarded, but we’re happy to train the right person.
