Job summary

The BUSY Group in Canberra is seeking a Career Development Workshop Coordinator to guide transitioning ADF members toward upskilling for civilian roles. The role covers delivering Job Search Preparation Workshops and 1:1 career coaching, from understanding work style to interview preparation, within a Canberra office.

Key duties include facilitating workshops, assessing skills and gaps, and ensuring timely support while complying with relevant legislation and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Facilitate Job Search Preparation Workshops in person and virtually with a focus on boosting the participant's ability to manage their own career and prepare for job searches
• Assess each person's job-related skills, strengths, preferences and gaps through interview, discussion and testing using proven assessment tools
• Ensure members are not impacted through workshop waiting times and are supported promptly
• Deliver workshops to the Target members that will boost the members ability to manage their own career and prepare for job searches

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Job Search Preparation Workshops in person and virtually
• Assess participants' skills, strengths and gaps using assessment tools
• Provide timely support to members and manage workshop logistics
• Deliver career coaching and guidance to aid transitions from military to civilian employment
