Job summary

Thales Group in Australia seeks an ADATS Technical Training Manager to support training material development, delivery, and assessment across the ADATS program. You will mentor trainees and drive evaluation activities to ensure high training standards.

This role requires hands-on expertise in Air Traffic Management, radar systems, and UNIX-based processing, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver across learning events in defence contexts.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122) or equivalent.
• Advanced Certificate in Electronics or equivalent vocational experience as an ADF Training Instructor; or vocational experience for RAN/RNZN/RNZAF/RN/RAF roles.
• Demonstrated strong experience in the Air Traffic Management technical domain.
• Primary and Secondary Ground RADAR knowledge and / experience.
• UNIX based Data Processing and Display computer system knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop training and assessment material, where needed.
• Lead delivery of ADATS training and assessment events when required.
• Supervise, coordinate, mentor and monitor trainee performance.
• Develop or conduct training evaluation and validation activities.
• Develop or conduct training needs analysis activities.
• Provide an equitable and accessible training environment for all participants.
