Optus is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Internal Audit – Transformation & Change in Sydney to lead complex assurance across strategic transformation initiatives, major programs and enterprise-wide change activities.
You will partner with senior stakeholders to identify risks, strengthen controls and realise benefits while maintaining independence, delivering objective challenge and commercially-focused insights.
Every day, millions of Australians connect, work, stream, and stay in touch on the Optus network. When it works seamlessly, it’s easy to take for granted. But behind it is a team making thousands of decisions every day - decisions that keep people, businesses and communities connected.
Right now, Optus is focused on getting the fundamentals right - simplifying how we work, lifting standards, and building a more reliable, resilient experience for our customers.
It’s not about surface-level change. It’s about how we make decisions, how we work together, and how we deliver.
As the Associate Director, Internal Audit – Transformation & Change, you will provide independent, risk-based assurance across Optus’ strategic transformation initiatives, major programs and enterprise-wide change activities. You will lead complex audits and assurance reviews that assess governance, risk management, delivery effectiveness and benefits realisation, helping ensure transformation investments deliver sustainable business value. Combining strategic thinking with practical delivery experience, you will partner with senior stakeholders to identify emerging risks, strengthen controls and improve customer, employee and business outcomes while maintaining Internal Audit's independence and objectivity.
