Job summary

GV Health in Shepparton is seeking a Social Worker - Acute, Sub Acute and Outpatients to join the Social Work Department. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across acute units and outpatient clinics, providing practical and emotional support to patients and families while managing a diverse caseload.

The role requires an approved Social Work qualification, AASW eligibility, and healthcare experience. It offers a permanent full-time position with supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Approved tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership
• Demonstrated assessment and intervention skills for diverse psychosocial needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Strong time management and organisational skills managing a clinical caseload
• Experience in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to patients and families
• Manage a diverse clinical caseload across acute and outpatient services
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across units
• Support the Mary Coram Rehabilitation Unit as needed
