Job summary

Western Health is seeking an enthusiastic Grade 2 Occupational Therapist for acute stroke/neurology services within Melbourne. You will work alongside a Grade 3 OT and a supportive multidisciplinary team, applying occupation-based practice to deliver patient-centred care.

You will supervise Grade 1 staff, contribute to service improvement, and participate in clinical education. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have well developed neuro assessment and intervention skills.
• Experience in acute service provision and discharge planning.
• Experience supervising staff and students.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service improvement.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, person-centred occupational therapy with the multidisciplinary team.
• Apply advanced clinical reasoning to assess, plan, and manage caseloads.
• Provide supervision and support to Grade 1 staff.
• Participate in service improvement, quality initiatives, and clinical education.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to professional development activities.
