The Royal Melbourne Hospital in Parkville, Melbourne, is seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager for the Acute Medical Unit Ward on a full-time fixed-term basis until September 2027.

You will provide clinical leadership, support and guidance to nursing staff, drive quality improvement and staff wellbeing, and act on behalf of the Nurse Unit Manager when required. The AMU Ward has 32 beds and offers generous salary packaging and strong career development.

Formación

• Minimum three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, reasoning, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
• Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to quality improvement and staff wellbeing initiatives.
• Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to The Melbourne Way.
• Willingness to act on behalf of the Nurse Unit Manager when required.

• Clinical governance; providing patients and the community Safe, Timely, Effective, Person-centred health care (STEP).
• Setting and maintaining a high standard of care; demonstrating expert knowledge and clinical skills.
• Delivering and supporting patient-centred care; conducting assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintaining health and safety standards; managing risk and implementing risk reduction with bedside nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team.
• Speaking up for safety; escalating concerns in a respectful manner and contributing to solutions.
