Job summary

Northern Health in Melbourne’s northern suburbs is seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join the ACIS team. The role focuses on acute assessment and intervention for consumers and families, across in-reach and outreach, with a shared caseload and recovery-focused care.

The position is part-time, 48 hours per fortnight, and located across Northern Health campuses in Hume. Applicants should have strong leadership and community mental health experience.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience post qualification.
• Passion for contributing positively to the lives of consumers and families.
• Advanced skills in the provision of psychiatric assessment and intervention.
• Previous experience working in a community/public mental health service preferable.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team but also able to work autonomously.
• Advanced communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the wider MH services in catchment area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct acute psychiatric assessment and intervention for consumers and families.
• Provide short-term intensive support for up to 3 months for appropriate consumers.
• Work within ACIS with in-reach and outreach capacity.
• Share caseload with other clinicians and provide recovery-focused care.
• Deliver services across community and home-based settings.
