Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join the Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS) within the Hume Community Team. The role is 0.8 EFT, fixed term to November 2027, with shifts across seven days from 8:30am to 10:30pm to provide acute assessment and intervention.

Applicants should have at least 3 years post-qualification experience and a passion for supporting consumers and families living with mental illness.

Qualifications

• Advanced skills in psychiatric assessment and intervention for mental illness.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in community/public mental health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute assessment and intervention within ACIS.
• Deliver short-term intensive support for up to 3 months as needed.
• Work in in-reach and outreach capacity with a shared caseload.
• Shift work across seven days between 8:30am and 10:30pm.
