Job description

Use statistical, mathematical and analytical techniques to help organisations understand uncertainty and make better decisions. Whether you’re modelling future events, analysing large datasets or developing risk and valuation insights, your work will have a tangible influence on strategy, performance and resilience.

This pathway is a great fit for graduates who enjoy quantitative analysis, problem‑solving, structured thinking and using data to understand real‑world challenges.

About rolling intake:We run two rounds of recruitment: main intake (now closed) and rolling intake. We aim to fill as many of our roles as possible through the main intake but, of course, things change and new roles come up. Applying to the rolling intake means your application will be reviewed as a suitable role comes up (and it does happen!).

This pathway would suit graduates from:

  • Actuarial Studies
  • Mathematics or Applied Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • Data Science or Analytics
  • Economics or Econometrics

The Work

Depending on your team, your work could include:

  • Building and validating actuarial or statistical models
  • Modelling future scenarios to estimate the likelihood and impact of events
  • Supporting valuations, capital modelling or pricing exercises
  • Analysing large datasets to uncover trends, patterns or emerging risks
  • Assisting with regulatory, compliance or reporting requirements
  • Contributing to consulting projects across insurance, financial services, government or energy

You’ll gain experience along the entire modelling lifecycle. From problem framing and data preparation through to analysis, interpretation and presenting recommendations to clients. Working across sectors such as insurance, government, health, banking and infrastructure helps you develop broad and adaptable analytical capability.
