Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking a skilled developer within the Actuarial Systems team to design, build, test, and support data solutions that enable actuarial modelling, reporting, and downstream business processes. You will work across Microsoft SQL Server and Azure, designing production-ready data integration, and maintaining environments with a focus on reliability and scalability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape standards, improve development practices, and deliver quality

Qualifications

5+ years experience as a developer, with Microsoft stack and Azure.
Experience on SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, views and stored procedures.
Experience in life insurance domain preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test and implement Actuarial data systems and processes, integrating with TAL Data Platform, Prophet Enterprise, and TAL Finance Platform.
Assist with implementation of accounting standards AASB17 and Finance reporting platform changes.
Ensure delivered products are secure, reliable, usable, efficient, and highly available and scalable.
Develop technical designs for step-changes in the products.
Ensure quality of code and adherence to platform frameworks and guidelines through code reviews and peer education.
