Pacific Life Re Australia seeks a Manager, Actuarial Analytics & Insights (Protection) to lead the delivery of actuarial results across US GAAP, IFRS17, LAGIC, EC, and BMA bases. You will partner with CA, DBS, and Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic planning, while driving transformative changes through Project Unify.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with minimum of 5 years' experience in life insurance or life reinsurance.
• Track record of challenging / improving processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Team management / coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, analyse and summarise actuarial model outputs across all bases for Financial Reporting and Business Plan.
• Support capital management processes including calibration of internal target surplus.
• Develop actuarial methodology across reporting bases for potential new deals or changes.
• Produce controls and validation reports for actuarial results.
• Oversee, guide and review results from Australia AA&I team members.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with CA teams and DBS functions.
• Support financial impact assessment of changes to actuarial assumptions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes from Project Unify.
• Specify model requirements for new developments and test financial results.
