Wellways is seeking an Accreditation and Compliance Lead to head organisation-wide accreditation, compliance and internal audit activities across a diverse national mental health, disability and community services network.
You will advise across Wellways to strengthen readiness, monitor compliance and support audits, translating standards into practical improvements with senior stakeholders and leaders across multiple teams.
At Wellways, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to contribute. We warmly welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with lived experience of mental health challenges or disability, people from multicultural backgrounds, and people who identify as LGBTIQA+. We recognise that diverse experiences and perspectives strengthen our workforce and the communities we support.
This is a uniquely rewarding opportunity to lead and coordinate Wellways' organisational approach to accreditation, compliance and internal audit, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality services across one of Australia's leading mental health, disability and community services providers.
As our Accreditation and Compliance Lead, you will provide specialist advice and coordination across Wellways to strengthen accreditation readiness, monitor compliance, support internal audit activities and provide assurance that relevant legislative, regulatory, contractual and accreditation requirements are being effectively addressed.
Working across service delivery and corporate functions, you will partner with leaders and teams to interpret complex requirements, identify risks and gaps, coordinate corrective actions and translate accreditation and compliance requirements into practical organisational improvements.
You are an experienced quality, accreditation, compliance or audit professional who can confidently navigate complex standards, legislation and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical action.
You will bring a sophisticated and methodical approach to analysing evidence, identifying risk and providing clear advice and recommendations. You are comfortable working across multiple teams and with senior stakeholders, and can constructively challenge, influence and support others while maintaining sound professional judgement.
Experience within mental health, disability, aged care, AOD or community services will be highly regarded, along with knowledge of relevant accreditation and regulatory frameworks. Experience working across multiple frameworks or jurisdictions, or lead auditor training, would be particularly valuable.
