Job summary

Benetas is a not-for-profit aged care provider in Victoria seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our growing finance team. You will maximise government funding across Residential, Home Care and Retirement Living services and process invoices and direct debits on our financial systems.

You will reconcile variances, respond to client inquiries, and support monthly payments with accuracy. The role requires AR experience in aged care, strong analytical skills, and MS Office

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable and reconciliations in the aged care space.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced MS Office skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Knowledge of EPICOR and experience in health, aged care or community services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Residential, Home Care and Retirement Living services maximise government funding in a timely manner.
• Process invoices and direct debits on our financial systems.
• Reconcile variances in Monthly Payment Summaries with Services Australia and DVA.
• Receipt and allocate customer payments on a daily basis.
• Liaise with clients to resolve accounts queries and issues.
• Undertake other finance tasks as required.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our growing Accounts Receivable team:

• Ensuring Residential, Home Care and Retirement Living Services maximise and recognise all available income from the government in a timely manner
• Processing Invoices and Direct Debits on our financial systems
• Reconciliation and correction of all variances identified in Monthly Payment Summaries, Home Care Services with Services Australia and DVA
• Customer payment receipting and allocation on daily basis
• Addressing and liaising with clients on their accounts queries
• Undertaking other finance tasks as required

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable / Reconciliations in the Aged Care space
• A strong ability to analyse, problem-solve, and work within tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
• Advanced MS Office skills with the ability to learn new system skills
• A tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, or business studies or a related field (Desirable)
• Knowledge of EPICOR and experience within health, aged care, and/or community service sector (Desirable)
