Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team south of the River in Western Australia. You will own end-to-end AP processing, match invoices to PO and documentation, and ensure timely supplier payments within a fast-paced construction environment.

This permanent, full-time role emphasises accuracy, strong stakeholder management, and collaboration with the wider finance team, particularly during month-end activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Accounts Payable or similar transactional finance position.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes.
• Able to manage high-volume invoice processing with accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, including high-volume invoice entry and processing.
• Match supplier invoices against work orders and purchase documentation, ensuring approvals are obtained.
• Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with deadlines.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate invoice discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier queries and liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records within the finance system.
• Assist with month-end processes and support the wider finance team.
