Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our collaborative Finance team in a full-time, hybrid role. You will help process supplier invoices, support payment runs, and respond to supplier inquiries while maintaining accurate vendor records.

This position offers growth through end-to-end AP exposure in a not-for-profit environment. This 12-month contract emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork within a supportive payroll and finance function.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or finance administration.
• Exposure to invoice processing, payment runs and vendor management.
• Willingness to learn and grow broader AP knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Officer who brings a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering accurate financial outcomes. Join our collaborative Finance team and play an important role in supporting the smooth and timely processing of accounts payable activities across UnitingCare.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, finance administration, or a similar transactional finance environment who is looking to further develop their skills in a supportive team. We're seeking someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is eager to learn end-to-end accounts payable processes.

Please note this is a full-time 12-month contract position. Further details will be discussed during the recruitment process. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you too. This role supports hybrid working by agreement.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Exposure to Kofax, SAP, Basware, Dynamics AX or similar financial systems will be highly regarded but is not essential.
• Ability to satisfy relevant pre-employment checks, including a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Right to Work verification.
