Job summary

Rogers Transport Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. This hands-on role covers both accounts payable and receivable, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will review invoices, manage supplier and customer relationships, and support month-end tasks. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of broad accounts experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a broad accounts role, covering both AP and AR
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to review information, identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting
• Experience with ERP systems and general finance duties
• Clear communication and relationship-building with customers, suppliers and internal teams
• Experience in transport, logistics or warehousing is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process supplier invoices, credit notes and payments accurately and on time
• Review transport runsheets to verify charges for customer invoicing
• Liaise with operations staff to clarify runsheet details and discrepancies
• Prepare and process customer invoices in a timely manner
• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and follow up overdue debts
• Respond to supplier and customer queries promptly
• Assist with month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting
• Provide general finance and administrative support to the Finance team
