Job summary

Strike Force Services is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead a small finance team in Rutherford, NSW, driving performance across service divisions and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

You will guide monthly reporting, close processes, budgeting, and commercial analytics, while coaching staff and implementing improvements to ensure accurate financials and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, finance or management accounting roles.
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising team members.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Exposure to payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Track record of improving systems, processes and efficiencies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
• Experience in a commercial business environment (highly regarded).
• CPA or CA qualification welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly management reporting process, including P&L and balance sheet reporting.
• Drive month-end and year-end close activities and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare financial analysis, forecasts, budgets and performance insights for business leaders.
• Partner with operational managers to support commercial decision-making.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and reporting accuracy.
• Coach, mentor and develop finance team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting capability.
• Support the CCO with board reporting, budgeting and strategic financial initiatives.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and key stakeholders.

Strike Force Services is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our growing team based in Rutherford. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on supervisor who enjoys mentoring others while contributing to the strategic success of the business.

We're seeking a people-first leader with accounting experience. This role is less about being a technical accounting specialist and more about leading a team, creating efficiencies, and ensuring the finance function operates effectively.

You will bring experience across management accounting, payroll and accounts functions, along with proven supervisory or management experience. Candidates with strong commercial business experience and a track record of developing teams are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Be Doing

As Accounting Supervisor, you will lead a small finance team and play a key role in supporting business performance across multiple service divisions.
