Findex in Chinchilla is seeking an Accountant or Accounting Officer to support its Business Advisory team on a permanent basis. You will prepare tax returns, financial statements, reconciliations and business advice for clients across companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.

Qualifications

• Commenced or working towards CA, CPA or equivalent (Accountant level).
• Solid experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, ideally within public practice.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and government bodies.
• A positive, proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing tax returns, financial statements, reconciliations and business advice for companies, partnerships, trusts and individual clients.
• Complete work to a high technical standard, meeting deadlines and budget expectations on every job.
• Assist with general bookkeeping duties as required.
• Liaise directly with the ATO and other government bodies on client matters.
• Maintain accurate, compliant work papers and client files in line with Findex Group standards.
• Keep your technical knowledge current to ensure ongoing compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
