Job summary

EPG Payroll & HR Australia is seeking an experienced full-time Accountant in Sydney to collate and review financial records, support the Financial Controller with month-end reporting, and prepare financial statements for management. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines.

You will ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements, manage cash flows and budgets, track payments, and assist with audits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience with completing tax returns for various entities (company, trust, partnerships).
• Strong understanding of client file structures.
• Knowledge of GST, FBT and Stamp Duty.
• Ability to work largely independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collate and review financial records and audit trails.
• Support Financial Controller with month-end reporting duties.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
• Manage cash flows, investments, and create budgets and forecasts.
• Track payments to internal and external stakeholders.
• Audit financial transactions and documents.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
