Job summary

PKF Perth is looking for an Accountant to join our growing Business Advisory Services team. You will work closely with Senior Accountants, Managers and Partners, gaining exposure to diverse clients and industries while developing accounting and taxation skills.

You will prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS, do bookkeeping and payroll tax, and liaise with clients and the ATO to support outcomes. We offer CA/CPA study support, flexible work options and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in business advisory, tax or accounting within professional services.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification in progress, or willingness to commence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks or similar

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and BAS for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations and month-end accounting activities.
• Complete payroll tax and other compliance obligations within statutory deadlines.
• Analyse financial information and assist clients with accounting and taxation matters.
• Liaise with clients, the ATO and other stakeholders to support client outcomes.
• Manage your workflow and deadlines to ensure high-quality work is delivered accurately and on time.
• Utilise accounting technologies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes.
• Continue developing your technical accounting, taxation and advisory knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.
