Job summary

Schiavello, based at our Head Office in Tullamarine, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Finance team. The role focuses on financial reporting, statutory compliance, payroll-related accounting and budgeting, to provide insights that drive business performance.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years in a similar role and be working towards CPA accreditation. Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and excellent communication skills are

Degree in Accounting/Finance required.
5+ years in a similar role.
Working towards CPA accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, including journal processing.
Prepare and reconcile BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Superannuation returns.
Prepare monthly management reports and assist with month-end/year-end reporting.
Support managers with financial reporting and analysis.
Perform payroll reconciliations, reviews and related entries.
Prepare annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and year-end schedules.
Maintain Fixed Asset Registers and oversee asset accounting.
Manage bank reconciliations, lease accounting, stock and manufacturing accounting.
