Job summary

Tax Ready Consulting in Melbourne, Victoria, is seeking a motivated Accountant to join their team. The role supports financial accounting, statutory reporting, payroll, budgeting and compliance activities, delivering accurate financial services.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance, at least 3 years in financial accounting, and strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation compliance. Salary ranges from AU$80,000 to AU$85,000 plus super.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
• Knowledge of Australian taxation compliance, BAS and statutory reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Process general ledger journals and assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Assist with BAS preparation, statutory reporting and audits.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and payroll records.
• Lodge BAS and other statutory returns.
• Provide support across finance functions as required.
