Job summary

Volvo Cars Lindfield is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Sydney. This permanent full-time role reports to the Financial Controller and involves a broad Assistant Accountant position with tasks including day-to-day accounts duties and month-end close.

You will develop in a supportive team, with training and opportunities to progress within an accounts environment, and you will be based near public transport in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Accounting.
• Fluent English written & verbal skills.
• Exceptional time management and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with managers and staff at all levels.
• High level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Accountant with a desire to learn and progress a finance career. This role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and you will work in a broad Assistant Accountant position. Your key tasks will include, but not be limited to

• Assist Financial Controller with the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department. Reconcile various accounts as determined by the Financial Controller. Month end close-off and prepare financial accounts
• General Ledger reconciliations Provide reports and analysis of business units as required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Degree qualification in Accounting Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts Fluent English written & verbal skills
• Exceptional time management and meeting deadlines Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with managers and staff on all levels Intermediate - Advanced Microsoft Office skills
