Job summary

Webuild S.p.A. in Sydney CBD is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team on a 6-month contract. You will prepare accounts and manage financial information while supporting the project finance functions under the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager.

The role covers accounts payable/receivable, variance analysis, GL reconciliation, asset management, and internal controls, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting for a major Australian infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role preferably within the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable functions and reporting.
• Assist the Accounts Payable function and authorisations.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial accounts.
• Assist in the performance of variance analysis on budget-to-actual reporting/GL and Projects.
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

• Assist in the refinement of management information systems and integrate/improve reporting frameworks.

• Assist in the liaison with external auditors where necessary.
• Provide financial support to internal stakeholders.

The Opportunity:

Employed by Webuild , Parklife Metro is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team based in Sydney CBD on a 6-month contract (with the possibility of extension).

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing accounts and managing financial information, as well as assisting in the management of the finance functions to support the Project as directed by the Senior Accountant & Accounting Manager.
