Ipswich Girls' Grammar School including Ipswich Junior Grammar School is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, and long-term financial modelling. You will partner with the CFO, Principal and executive team to shape financial strategy and governance.
You will manage a Finance team, oversee statutory reporting and audits, and drive improvements to financial systems and controls across the school.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a newly created Accountant role and make a meaningful impact. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will shape and lead the School’s day-to-day financial operations, guide a team of finance professionals and help build the strong financial foundations that support our future.
Combining strategic influence with hands‑on delivery, you will turn financial information into clear insight, lead budgeting and long‑term financial modelling, strengthen internal controls, oversee compliance and audit requirements, and contribute to Board and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee reporting. Working across the School, you will be a trusted partner who champions accountability, commercial discipline and continuous improvement.
