Job summary

Aquatec Maxcon Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Ipswich team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will contribute to accurate financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and tax compliance across locations.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, stocktake oversight, and cost-reduction insights within a construction, engineering or water sector context. A strong Excel skillset and CA/CPA progression are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in accounting.
• Ideally progressing to CA/CPA qualification.
• Several years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a similar industry highly sought after.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of experience in the use of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely reporting of financial information in line with timelines and statutory requirements.
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are completed accurately and efficiently monthly.
• Manage chart of accounts and ensure integrity of the GL.
• Proactive management of relationships with all stakeholders.
• Oversee the planning and management of annual stocktake of major asset classes in all locations – Inventory and Fixed Assets.
• Ensure Tax compliance with all corporate and statutory requirements.
• Work with operational stakeholders to help identify areas of cost reduction.
