Job summary

Woods & Co Recruitment partners with a growing hospitality group across Melbourne. They seek an Accountant to support the finance function, manage monthly accounts, and drive financial planning for multiple venues.

The role offers a practical, fast-paced environment and collaboration with senior stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in accounting, CA/CPA status or studying, and a solid grasp of Australian accounting standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
• CA/CPA qualified or currently studying.
• Hospitality, retail or multi-site industry experience is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting; prepare BAS, IAS and other statutory obligations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commercial insights.
• Monitor venue performance and profitability.

With continued expansion on the horizon, they're looking for a motivated Accountant to support the finance function and play a key role in the day to day financial operations of the business.
