Comcare (Australian Government) in Melbourne seeks an experienced Accountant for a 12‑month parental leave replacement. The role is part-time (0.80 FTE, four days per week) and reports to the Chief Financial Officer, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

The role covers general ledger, year-end reporting, BAS, asset management, government reporting obligations, and foundation reporting, with scope for collaboration within a dedicated Business Services team.

Formación

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Synergetic or similar school management systems will be highly regarded.
• Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.

Overview

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the School's financial records and ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting.

Role Details

Qualifications
