Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a proactive accounting professional to analyse financial data and prepare high-quality reports that give clients clarity and confidence in their position.

You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting smarter decision‑making, compliance, and long-term business success, while developing your advisory foundations within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Business or Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
• Commenced (or intention to commence) CA or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues.
• Prepares clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed.
• Checks financial statements and management accounts, eliminating adding, referencing and typing errors.
• Helps identify accounting issues.
• Applies basic tax compliance procedures.
• Assists with tax planning for clients.
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Completes requisite regulatory forms; and
• Complies with lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Salary: Between $75,000 - $85,000 (including super), based on experience
