Job summary

Eudunda Farmers Limited seeks an experienced and commercially minded Accountant to join our growing business. This role balances day-to-day accounting with accurate financial reporting and support to owners and senior management.

You will manage across multiple entities, prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 Years relevant accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting practices, GST, BAS and General Taxation Principles.
  • Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Experience in MYOB.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience working across multiple companies, business divisions or related entities will be highly regarded.
  • CPA/CA qualification, or progress towards CPA/CA qualifications will be viewed favourably.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping across multiple entities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
  • Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review BAS, GST and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and year-end accounts.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor business expenses, supplier payments and outstanding receivables.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Analyse actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare Management Reports identifying financial trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Assist management with financial modelling and business decision-making.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations between related entities.
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and other professional advisors.
  • Support preparation of information required for taxation and compliance purposes.
  • Review accounting processes and implement improvements to financial controls and reporting systems.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

We are seeking and experienced and commercially minded Accountant to join our growing business. This position is suited to someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting functions while also providing accurate financial reporting, management information and support to business owners and senior management.

The successful candidate will be organised, detail-focussed and capable of working across multiple entities and business activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping across multiple business entities

Prepare monthly management account, profit & loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports
