Becton Dickinson (BD) is seeking an Account Manager - Pyxis to expand the Pyxis footprint across NSW/ACT. You will own the full sales cycle, engaging Pharmacy, Nursing, IT and procurement to deliver capital equipment solutions that improve medication management in hospitals.
You will manage long sales cycles, build compelling business cases, and collaborate with Clinical Specialists and Project Managers to drive implementation and customer value.
Help hospitals transform medication management through BD Pyxis automated dispensing technology.
At BD, possibility isn't an idea. It's what we do. We are the Makers of Possible.
Through our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business, BD helps hospitals improve medication safety, streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency through innovative medication management technology.
As an Account Manager - Pyxis, you'll drive the continued growth of BD Pyxis across NSW and ACT, partnering with public and private hospitals to deliver solutions that improve how medications are stored, managed and administered.
This is not a transactional sales role.
You'll be managing complex capital opportunities that often involve software, workflow redesign, change management and multi-year sales cycles. Success comes from understanding customer challenges, building compelling business cases and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
You’ll engage a broad range of stakeholders including Pharmacy teams, Clinical Product Advisors (CPAs), Nursing leadership, Biomedical Engineering, IT, Procurement and Executive decision-makers.
If you enjoy solving operational challenges, influencing hospital decision-making and seeing large-scale projects through from concept to implementation, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
You'll grow BD's Pyxis footprint across NSW/ACT by owning the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to implementation.
You will:
Drive capital equipment sales across the BD Pyxis portfolio
Build relationships across Pharmacy, Nursing, Clinical Product Advisors, Biomedical Engineering, IT and Procurement teams
Identify new opportunities and develop account growth strategies
Manage complex, long-cycle sales opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award
Lead demonstrations, workflow reviews and solution design discussions
Build financial and operational business cases to support customer decision-making
Navigate hospital procurement and capital approval processes
Collaborate with Clinical Specialists, Product teams and Project Managers throughout the customer journey
Monitor competitor activity and identify market opportunities
Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting and pipeline reporting
Attend industry conferences, workshops and customer events
This is a role where your ability to combine strategic selling, stakeholder engagement and business acumen will directly influence outcomes.
You're a commercially driven sales professional who understands how to build relationships, influence decision-makers and manage complex healthcare sales opportunities.
Ideally, you'll bring previous capital equipment sales experience and understand how hospitals evaluate, fund and procure technology investments. You know how to navigate lengthy decision-making processes, build compelling business cases and maintain momentum across multiple stakeholders.
You’ll bring:
Experience selling capital equipment into hospitals (strongly preferred)
Experience selling healthcare technology, software-enabled solutions, medical devices or complex healthcare systems
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Confidence engaging clinical, technical and executive stakeholders
Experience managing long sales cycles and multiple decision-makers
Ability to build compelling value propositions aligned to customer needs
Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent organisational and pipeline management capability
A proactive, resilient and growth-focused mindset
