Job summary

Western Sydney University invites applications for a 0.4 FTE Part-time, Fixed-Term HEW Level 6 position in Parramatta South with flexible working arrangements. The role supports the ARC Discovery Project on Disability and Digital Citizenship, coordinating activities, governance, forums and fieldwork to advance inclusive participation.

Qualifications

• A research degree, relevant diploma with project coordination experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience working with people with disability or within the disability sector, with an understanding of accessibility requirements, supports and inclusive practices.
• Demonstrated project coordination, organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• High-level digital literacy, including experience with Microsoft 365, databases, content management systems and relevant project-support technologies.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, maintaining records and working with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accessible project activities, governance arrangements, advisory groups, forums, workshops and fieldwork.
• Provide secretariat support, prepare documentation, maintain project records and help ensure milestones, reporting requirements and intended outcomes are achieved.
• Work with researchers, project partners, University staff, community organisations and accessibility providers and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate accessible communications, participant requirements, travel, events and research logistics to support inclusive participation.
• Contribute to budgeting, financial reporting, purchase orders and corporate card acquittals in line with University requirements.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and coordination to Casual Research Assistants supporting project activities.
